New art for villagers in New Horizons?

I've been wondering if Nintendo has ordered new art for the villagers in Animal Crossing New Horizons. You know the official art for villagers has been updated when they were present in a new Animal Crossing game. Usually, wiki sites like Nookipedia use the official artwork on their site on the different villagers pages.

Those villagers that have not been in more recent games have pretty outdated official artwork. Let's compare :

Why am I asking? Because during the last Nintendo Live! event (held in Japan), Nintendo had pamphlets prepared to promote New Horizons, you might recall. In the pamphlet, Nintendo reused the official New Leaf artwork to depict villagers. I was hoping they would order some new official art for New Horizons...

Do you mean a redesign of actual villagers, or just artwork?

If it's a redesign then they should start with those hideous penguins.

I've seen real penguins, and they're CYOOT.
AC penguins look like the north end of a south-bound cow.

Nope, I'm talking about artwork. It's pretty obvious from the screenshots that they did not chose to redesign villagers in New Horizons.

One of the screenshots makes it look like there might have been another height adjustment in this game, so it's possible we will eventually see an update. However, I doubt this artwork will be rolled out in step with the game as if I recall the New Leaf art appeared several years after the original game (probably with Welcome Amiibo as you stated). I quite like the current art we have, I would only really be itching for it to be updated if any default clothes change.

Nothing is obvious in the tiny screenshots I've seen.
I only have a mobile. I don't have a PC and it's hard to see anything.

I'm not sure if Vesta's legs are actually any longer - there is a mushroom (or something else?) in front of her that kind of looks like it is part of her. I'm curious if you are just seeing the thing in front of her or if you think her height is changed in dependent of that.

I see what you mean, but notice also that her legs appear lighter in color than usual... in the art I've seen, her legs are the same color as her face and that doesn't appear to be the case in the photo.
