The text is in Dutch, and it says you can download it at Game Mania. It's a game store (not sure if Game Mania exist outside of The Netherlands) I'm free from work on Wednesday, so I'm going to check it out

Some of those dlc are different from the ones people in the UK and in the US are getting... this makes me upset! I HATE when games do exclusive items for people in different countries. It just goes to show they only want you to buy more copies of the game (and in this case, more 3ds's that are in different region coding) just to get promotional items. :C I feel like Nintendo let me down on this one.

That lamp is already available in the game from T&T, it's called "Festival Lamp", I see no physical difference in the two.

I think people are more fussy about this than necessary. If they were "One off" then fine, but they're reorderable in most if not all cases. Even if you don't have international friends, there is the Retail forum dedicated to this sort of thing and you just have to ask. Because they are reorderable it's not like the prices are going to sky rocket.

DLC is damn well a marketing scheme to get people to buy the game. not buy the game repeatedly.

also, for those who don't have international friends, your only restriction (other than not having internet) is not being able to be social. and if you don't have internet, then DLC threads like this one would be pretty much pointless.

The game is based on visiting other towns and making friends and creating a happy atmosphere. don't bring your negativity and views to bring this game down just because you have trouble making international friends.

you belong to a board that has international users! japanese players are here. UK players are here. US players are here. The only thing stopping you from getting some DLC is fear of letting these people into your town and being their friend. it's not the game's fault.

It's not really a shock that Nintendo release DLC that encourages socialising with others online for their social game.

It's not like there's some major chunk of the gameplay that you can't access by not socialising, it's some added bonus items. That's like getting annoyed at Gamefreak because only certain Pokemon you could get by evolving them through friends.

GOD DAMN YOU GAME COMPANIES FOR TRYING TO MAKE BE FRIENDS WITH PEOPLE.

Not to mention, the work around will most likely work for these too, so you can carry on getting them yourself without the help of others.
