New Food Items Question

I have finally found some time to play the first firework show I have unlocked some of the Cotton Candy, Boba Tea and Frozen Treat variations and I noticed whenever you take a bite of these foods it adds to the top that you have food in you. I wanted to know if you keep eating the item does it disappear or will we always have it ?

Also, as a warning to others so you don't make the same mistake that I made. After I took a few licks of cotton candy I hit one of my rocks
(which was strategically placed) with my hammer and it broke it. So all of the treats act the same as eating fruit.

I just learned this from my kids, but if you've eaten something and don't want to break a rock or dig up a tree, you can use the toilet to get rid of it, which I find rather amusing.

any food/drinks that nintendo came out with, always are edible after 3 times. Also don't wear the King Tut Mask while holding drinks. You can trip and break the glass!

i spent a huge amount of time making a rock garden and then i ran around cutting down trees and when i was done i completely forgot that i had fruit left in me and hit a rock and shattered it; causing me to have to repeat the steps to create the rock garden again UGH!
and wait...if youre wearing the king tut mask does it cause you to fall down? ive never checked but what ivorystar just said im now curious!

I'm sure i read on another post here that you can fall down with boba teas and balloons, i think Redd actually warned me when i first spoke to him that he isn't responsible for any damages if i fall. I cannot imagine the absolute terror of destroying a rock that you've spent weeks trying to get into the right spot!

Can you trip and break/lose the new foods without a mask? Redd's dialog had me thinking that was the case, so I haven't run with any of them yet. As long as you don't run while actively holding them, you shouldn't have any issues, though.

I also got that dialog, I'm being safe rather than sorry! I found out this week that you can trip holding balloons

Yep, those were the first items you could trip and lose, IIRC. A lot of people were upset last year when that first got discovered.

I got some extra food/drinks, so I may test it when I get back to my island (planning a room on Harv's Island RN)

As far as I know of all the king tut mask and balloon triggers tripping. I haven't seen any other handheld items do that. but i may be wrong...

Alright, I raced around with some food/drink and didn't drop any of it. I actually accidentally drank all the tea before dropping it, lol.

I still wouldn't risk running with them unless you're okay with potentially losing them, though. I ran with a balloon, too, and never tripped. Maybe I just have good luck today? IDK.

This may be a dumb question, but is there a way to tell if you’re lucky in ACNH? I kind of miss Katrina.

Lol, I don't even know if they have a full luck system in this game (I think I read somewhere a datamine may have hinted at Katrina? I REALLY hope she comes back) I meant more that maybe I'm just lucky IRL today.

I think there were questions about a lucky system being introduced when tripping was, but then all talk of it seemed to disappear when it was revealed tripping was related to certain items. So I don't -think- the game has one (yet?) but I'm not 100% sure.
