This one is for the people who are already playing New Horizons - what tips/tricks/advice do you have for players? Whether it's resetting advice, game help, crafting, placing buildings, etc?
You can't play multiplayer until Day 2. So if you get it at midnight, try to play at least an hour, so it rolls over at 6am and becomes Day 2 for tomorrow!
Fastest way to reset is to press Home and then X to close the software. Do this after you have boarded the plane and get your fly over of the island... especially if you see pears /s. I think it is also okay if you do it during the short cutscene on the dock but can't verify myself.
Don't place the museum in front of houses as it will block them out. It can be moved later, I think it costs 50k bells though.
Hold A and move the joystick to sneak up on bugs instead of just charging at them and pressing A.
Saving and quitting doesn't heal up your wasp bites anymore (rip my New Leaf strategy).
you can press R when you're shopping with timmy/tommy in the tent - it took me longer than i'd like to admit for me to find the slingshot recipe lmao
keep shaking trees if you need branches. the trees might seem like they've stopped dropping but there is a l w a y s (usually) more!!! take it from a dumb gal who thought they could only be found on the ground
leave bugs and fish piled directly outside where you've placed blathers' tent so you don't have to run back and forth to donate things!
don't take an axe to your rocks after eating fruit unless you want them to completely break and disappear! i definitely broke them all by accident. however, i think they will respawn the next day!!
i think a few people have said this on the forums before, but try to pay off your home loan (can only be paid in miles) and unlock the museum on the first day (after they've made you take a "nap")! then it'll be all ready to go the next day
and yes, you can reset on the dock! i saw gigi and rory and ran for my life
