Hello everyone! This is my first post on the forum. I am so excited for New Horizons!
I am wondering if anyone has any information (or theories) about the controls for the game. I think the controls will need to be flexible to accommodate playing with anything from a Pro Controller to a single Joy-Con. I would love to see a full diagram of the controls for the game.
From what I've seen, the controls seem pretty intuitive. They haven't all been released yet, but some are shown on the screen at certain times, like zooming or the whistle function while taking a picture, while others seem to just relate to the menu. This is stuff I've only seen from looking at videos of the demo at PAX East, but obviously I've been paying closer attention to the screen than the controls in the players' hands.
Obviously, different control schemes will fall into place depending on if you're working on designing the interior of your house, terraforming and landscaping, playing with the camera or passport functions, or just running around doing what ex-mayors do. But I'll say, I haven't seen anyone using the touchscreen yet, so there is that.
I haven't seen too much or paid too much attention to any controls, but I figured they'd be just like New Leaf's maybe? I'm not sure about the one joycon thing because it seems like there would be too many controls to be able to pull that off.
I think the basic stuff that's been in previous titles like new leaf and such will have the same controls. Y to pick up stuff, x to open the menu, etc. As for the newer stuff idk. They have a lot of new buttons to use and who knows they may switch things up.
