Do you think there will be any new ordinances in the new AC game?

If so which ones would you like to see?

Personally, I'd love to see a very 'wildlife friendly' one where your villagers look after creatures more and therefore you have a higher chance of rare bugs and fish spawning

The "Tourist Friendly" ordinance. This ordinance would make more random villagers show up around town and make your town seem more bustling instead of just having villagers wandering around. This would be good for towns that replicate a city like environment

i was thinking of an ordinance where you could make an all one species town (cats only, dogs only, etc.) but that seems odd

I suggested custom hours ordinance and event town ordinance (the latter making your PWPs look decorated for the holidays), but I prefer if we can have two ordinances active at once so I can have longer hours and beautiful town both at once.

I think there are too many already.

Why not make flowers indestructible, or not need watering; and have the shops open early and close late.

That's 3 in 1 right there.

Tending to the landscape (including watering flowers) and real-time hours are integral parts of the game. I enacted beautiful town, because I don't want to ruin my grass by watering, but I wouldn't like it if they couldn't be destroyed. I like that they are somewhat fragile and I have to be careful around them.

I can't really think of any others that I would want! However, I do think you should be able to have either the early bird or night owl ordinance active at any time alongside another ordinance. (That is, if we don't get 24 hour shops like I hope we might.)

I might even want to get rid of the bell boom ordinance. Something about it doesn't make sense as an ordinance - like, how can you put that into law exactly? xD A way to still gain its effects other than through an ordinance might be cool though.

I'd like to see an ordinance where hybrid chance is increase, and flower spawns per day are increased for those who enjoy it. Suppose it would be an alternative to the beautiful town ordinance. Trash, etc would still appear, but flowers won't wilt.

I work, and don't have hours to spare that it would take to maintain all of my flowers.

I also have the BTO.

I got one. How about having a not-leaving-my-town-while-I'm-on-a-hiatus ordinance? That should be a mandatory thing if people want to keep their favourite villagers from moving.

It's just a joke though. :p

I just want to be able to enact more than one ordinance ;; I always had beautiful town enacted because I have a lot of hybrids and I don't have time to water them daily, but I've always wanted to have the night owl ordinance as well. I usually play acnl late at night, so I would have to time travel to an earlier time in the day if I needed to use the shops >:c

I was suggesting the same. To me, there’s another reason why I like shops to be open later. It’s because at night, the town looks a lot more beautiful when the outdoor lights are turned on. I want to see that and open stores both at once. But I can’t do that if I don’t want my hybrids to wilt.

I feel like upgrades to the silver and golden watering can would alleviate some of the stress with being forced to pick beautiful town ordinance.

For example, the silver watering can keeps flowers watered for one week, and the Golden could keep them watered for two weeks, or even a month.

I would love this so much.

An ordinance where villagers have to go to town hall and ask permission to move away would be nice lol, just so I?m not caught by surprise when I power on my game after six months of not playing (or feeling forced to play everyday when I don?t feel like it).

A simple reversible option to make an animal a permanent resident is what we need.

archeologist's grounds ordinance: prevents fossils, gyroids, and pitfalls from spawning. 25% of the base resale value of all items that would've spawned (treating fossils as if they were identified) is deposited into your account at the start of each day

basically something for players that don't want to bother traversing their towns to dig up the daily spawns, while letting them reap some benefits from them still. with the idea essentially being that you're allowing other animals to come in and gather up the items themselves, so the bells you get are essentially a fee of sorts.

could prevent players from using this for easy infinite money abuse by just making it so that they get nothing for any days skipped forward+the next 24 hours if tting

or could make it so they just never spawn and you get nothing out of animals coming in to take your dirty old crap

Small Town Ordinance: Limits the number of villagers who can be in the town at one time, but makes them less likely to move out. For players who prefer a quieter town, or a more personal connection to their villagers.

Large Town Ordinance: Increases the number of villagers who can be in the town at one time, but makes them more likely to move out. For players who prefer a bustling town.
