Hi,

Second day in the game today. I purchased Switch just for this game so I am trying to get the most out of it.

If someone can help me with newbie questions

1. What do I do with fish and stuff collected? Do i sell it? Is there any ultimate purpose to collect and store them? I have completed both the donations.
2. What do I do with DIY items like bird house, campfire?
3. How to organize storage effectively? I run out of pockets in no time.

Thats it for now.

Thanks in advance

1. turn them into Nook, he'll eventually contact Blathers to start a museum, once that's up, you can take them there. Sorry, missed part of your sentence. Wait for Blathers to arrive and then you can give them to him, then he'll build a museum where you can take them. Ones already turned in can be kept, displayed or sold

2. Decorate the island. It helps your rating. They are sellable.

3. When you have your house, you'll be able to store items in there (inside the house, open inventory and choose 'put in storage'. To get things out, press right on the D-pad to access it

I think a lot of these questions will be answered the more you play the game and I think it's more fun that way, but if you don't care about spoilers and want to know:

Some of the fish, bugs, and sea creatures sell for a good bit of money. I would save your first one to donate to the museum and after that you can sell them for bells. CJ and Flick (npcs) pay extra for fish/bugs if you wait around for them and they can also make a model if you save 3 of the same.

DIYs are just furniture you can craft. Take the customization workshop Tom Nook offers you and you can change the colors.

Once you progress a bit and have enough Nook Miles, you can buy extra pocket space at the Nook terminal. You'll also get more storage space in your home the more you upgrade.
