Guest, you're invited to help build our new TBT time capsule! It contains three parts, with some of its elements planned to open in 2029 and others not until the distant future of 2034. Get started in 2024 Community Time Capsule: Blueprints.
New Leaf introduced PWPs, one of my favorite new additions to the game, and one that has plenty of potential to grow bigger. They can honestly add hundreds of more, which would help with overall creativity and uniqueness of towns. However, they would need to change the way you unlock them.
What are some ideas you have for PWPs?
I have an idea where each villager personality has a couple different types of main buildings you can build in your town. You are allowed to have one of each type. Here are ideas for this-
Jock- Gym, Basketball Court, Bowling Alley
Lazy- Arcade, Zoo, Amusement Park
Cranky- Casino, Club, Mini-Golf
Smug- Karaoke Bar, Office, Racetrack
Peppy- Theater, Dance Studio, Motel
Normal- Library, Schoolhouse, Botanical Gardens
Snooty- Pool House, Hopital, Art Gallery
Uchi- Ice Rink, Park, Volleyball Court
The idea with a Bowling Alley sounds actually pretty cool. Like, a PWP in form of a building
(like the Cafe) where you can play bowling mini-games ? la Wii Sports. I would like it.
My idea for a PWP would be a tree house, suggest by every villager personality. It can be
like a campsite 2.0, where a random villager visit the tree house and spend a day there. Like
the campsite, you have the chance to persuade the villager to move into your town. And the
tree change it's look from season to season. Also, each villager brings his/her own stuff to the
tree house, so the look of the tree house inside changes depending what villager is there right
now. Alternative, it can also be just a normal tree house with a binoculars in it which you can
use to have a nice few of your town from a higher point.
I would also like to have a gym as a PWP, suggest by jock villagers. I think it would be nice idea
to actually see the jock villagers doing some sports activites, since they also talk about this the
whole time.
A little playground suggest by either peppy or lazy villagers would be something I would really like
to see. Like one which also the player can use, with swings, a slide and such.
I'd be happy with more varied aesthetics for the PWPs that come in multiple styles. The gothic look I want to cultivate is somewhere between the fairytale, zen, and modern PWP aesthetics, and none of them quite fit :'D
That's a cute idea! Not too sure how a zoo or a racetrack (if it was an equine one) would work, however, regarding the fact that animals are sentient beings...
Dodgem Cars. I'd love a racetrack but I personally feel that's better to do with paths since it gives more creativity and I think a PWP of it would be more so decoration than interactive
A lot of these would have to be no bigger than, say, 4 x 4.
What is the Caf?? 3 x 4? (I forget.)
What I think would be wise is to have more places on Main Street?
I would like a restaurant. (Perhaps the mayor could choose between three themes, just as it works with the Train Station and the Town Hall re-designs.)
I would like to move to Main Street the Roost Caf? and combine its building with a bake shop. (Let’s give Brewster a wife who you find working there.)
I'd like some nice interactive PWPs, kind of like the things I've seen in screenshots of Pocket Camp. Though since I've never played I don't know what they actually totally have. But some PWPs ideas I have:
-A spot with maybe two tables and chairs (smaller tables) where you can sit and eat a snack or have tea with a villager. Could even cause fun events when it happens where the villager asks if you wanna sit with them.
-A row of beach chairs for the beach. They'd probably act as beds animation wise, but you or villagers could hop in em and relax and maybe even be a way to help the player tan.
-Seasonal Decoration Plot. Once built there'd be a lovely display based on the season. Spring could have flowers and things. Summer could have a neat little water display. Fall could have hay bales, corn decorations, and a scarecrow. Winter could have a pretty lights display.
-Playground equipment. Maybe a set of swings we can use or a slide.
-A fountain we can interact with. Maybe let us toss in a coin and we get a fortune and depending on the fortune our luck for the day would go up with finding bugs or fish, maybe find rarer items, easier to increase friendship with villagers, or maybe better luck with identifying fossils.
Definitely the ability to have stuff on the beach, there's even that indent in the cliff thats just screaming for a bonfire or chairs!
I have the zen garden and the hot spring in my town and its such a missed opportunity that you can't interact with them, I wanna hop into that hot spring so mf bad.
As far as ideas for new pwps go, more "functional" buildings kinda like in hhd. Hospitals and schools and a restaurant would be nice but I'm really not sure how to implement those and make them interesting.
Someone(mink777) mentioned an arcade suggested by the lazy villagers and thats like, the perfect idea!!!
As many people have mentioned before, more functional buildings would be nice. I'd also like to see more famous landmarks as potential PWPs, similar to the Stonehenge and Pyramid from NL. Maybe Big Ben (doubling as a clock), the Statue of Liberty, or the Colosseum in Rome. You could make your town an open-air museum of famous landmarks!
One other thing I'd like to see is Victorian or "Vintage" style PWPs, to go along with the current Fairy Tale, Zen, and Modern styles. While the current streetlamp and iron bench kind of fit this purpose, I'd love to have more options to make my town look straight out of 1800s England.
Beach stuff, canoes to go fishing in, treehouses, porches...
Just like with the campground, a hotel would be awesome. With new villagers checking in every once in a while that u can ask to move in, or that u can impress enough with your town to want to ask to move in.
