Howdy all, been playing New Leaf since the week it came out, came here spur of the moment because a friend of mine on GameFAQs knew I needed Octavian who was being cycled here.

Anyways, I'm pretty new to Animal Crossing, I got New Leaf when it came out and before that I'd only briefly messed around in Wild World on a brother's DS. Since 2013 I've been trying to familiarize myself with some older titles (I have the Gamecube version too) and I've gotta say the series has come a long way. Every version is definitely fun in its own way, just a bit depressing that I'll have a hard time getting into City Folk now that Nintendo axed the old Wifi system.

New Leaf is definitely my favorite video game ever, it's just so relaxing and enjoyable and every day there's a different goal I can set for myself. I'm also a longtime fan of Pokemon, but Gen 6 has had me really bummed out so I don't play it as often. Gen 2 and Johto in general are my favs. Zelda's awesome too, I have the Zelda themed Wii U and 3DS, but if only I'd had the foresight to get the Animal Crossing Pop-Tart 3DS! Besides video games I really like card games too, Cardfight!! Vanguard is like my favorite thing in the world right now, so good and I totally reccomend it to anyone interested.

Beyond that, I'm happy to finally sign up here, looking forward to some good times and a hopeful announcement of Animal Crossing U sometime soon!

Hi. I know what you mean about City Folk. I started that just back in December because I didn't have a DS yet. Didn't realize you couldn't go online so stuff like the auction house and happy room show house was useless. I've been playing New Leaf for a week and it's much better even without using the train station yet. My by has played the GameCube one but I've just tried City Folk and New Leaf.

Hi, welcome to the forums. I'm also fairly new and only started posting recently, but it's definitely fun and I spend hours on end on here as guilt fills my system from not doing anything.
I also understand what you mean about City Folk, it was a sad day when I couldn't use the WiFi any longer. But hopefully you continue to play New Leaf and enjoy yourself on the forums. :)
