Hello! I'm Selkie. I found this forum while looking for ways to get villagers I like onto my island. It's cozy here!

I was recently gifted a console and ACNH and finally got into the game that all my friends had been talking about. I love it! I'm just a few days in, but I'm going for a very tropical mermaid island aesthetic and I have a list of the villagers I would love to have as residents some day.

Any sort of advice is very welcome. See you guys around

Thank you! Just by appearance alone, I would really love to see Agnes, Annalisa, Apollo, Azalea, Bianca, Blanche, Erik, Keaton, Merry, Reneigh, or Zoe. I also don't mind keeping one of my starters, Goose, around. I'm not sure if there are different rarities, but my friends mentioned a few of them are fairly sought after so I might have my work cut out for me

I love Agnes, she is my absolute favourite! I actually love your entire list of villagers!

The mystery island tours are a good way to meet and get a feel for villagers, and see if you connect with anyone! But of course, the villager will be random each visit.

If any of your friends have amiibo cards, that would definitely be one way to easily get villagers!

The other way is that if you have a free plot on your island, you can adopt villagers from other islands. Some people give them away and some people sell them for forum currency, but I'd definitely recommend checking out this section if/when you want to find a specific villager!

your island sounds like it’s going to be so beautiful, i love the villagers you’ve chosen for it! i currently have reneigh and agnes on my island, and recently had zoe, and all 3 are lovely villagers! there’s not really any rarities when it comes to villagers, some are just more liked and sought after than others haha. ^~^

Thank you for the tips! Would you happen to have a link explaining how TBT bells can be obtained? I saw how they can be transferred from one player to another, but what can you do to make them? I've never come across a forum with their own currency before, and it's a neat concept!

Yes, for sure! There is this neat guide, so hopefully it's not too confusing. The main way to get TBT bells is by making posts in different threads across the forum. Longer posts earn more bells. A few sections don't give bells for making posts however, primarily the Introduction Board and The Basement!
