New to the game ^u^

Hi everyone! My name is Marina. I never played an Animal Crossing game before, New Leaf is my first but I'm in love with it. My boyfriend got me into it --I hoping I'm able to get him to join the forum as well.

Anyway I'm an artist so I see so much potential for self-expression in this game that I can definitely see why everyone loves it! I look forward to making friends here and maybe sharing some of my Animal Crossing art. ^^

I've been playing AC since WW, and NL is the best yet in my opinion! I usually just download other people's art via QR codes, but I can see why that's a big advantage for some people. What's really great about AC is the diversity - you can do almost anything you want to with your character, clothing, house and, on NL, your town! Hoping to see you around the boards!

Thank you for the warm welcome! I was so happy when I noticed the potential for customizing everything though I am finding the design slot limits SUPER restrictive. I'm making new characters to hold things such as my paths, but it's still not enough for stuff around my house. >.<; I wonder why Nintendo made this so limited.

Regardless, loving the game! I'm going to a convention on Saturday so hoping to pick up lots of streetpass there. Hopefully my home showcase will fill up, I expect a lot of people to have their game.

It's a LOT less limited on NL than it was in previous games! You can store designs you aren't using at Able Sisters until you need them again. I think you have up to 72 slots of storage, but don't quote me on that. On CF and WW you had 8 slots and that was it!

Thank you so much Ben, will do! I only have one I've done so far (my badge with my character and friend code) but last night I drew Sable, and hoping to finish her today. ^^ I will be sure to share when done! I would draw lots more if I wasn't swamped with commissions... Fan art is a rare treat. ^^; And I already get way too distracted from my work with the game!

I keep hearing about the 72 slot design storage, but for example if I use a design on a path and then store it, it will disappear, right? Also where in the world are those 72 slots? I've been friends with Sable for quite a while, got the QR machine, I stay even after closing to talk to her a little more, I just keep talking to her, but... >>; Nothing!
