Greetings, everyone. I just started up a new island in New Horizons and thought it might be fun/useful to finally make an account on this forum after on-and-off lurking for a while. I'm having fun with the game so far, last night I spent ~four hours trying to draw a town flag and ended up feeling pretty good with how it turned out, which was surprising.

As for general interests, aside from Animal Crossing I play a lot of Arknights and Fire Emblem(Mostly the 3DS ones), and a little bit of Pokemon. As I alluded to in the first paragraph I'm also very tentatively trying to teach myself to draw, but it's progressing pretty slowly given that I've never really tried to do anything creative before

I've never been particularly social, but I hope to stick around here for at least a little while and maybe even make some friends!

Is ACNH your first Animal Crossing game? I actually really love making designs in ACNH. You have this really limited amount of canvas to do something creative, and people come up with the most interesting ways to use their designs.

Are you teaching yourself to draw with traditional materials like pencils, or are you more interested in digital art?

I hope I will too! New Horizons actually isn't my first game, I played Wild World a little bit and New Leaf on and off for ~three years after its release.

And as for drawing, I've mostly been trying to do it traditionally, it feels simpler to me to just pull out a pencil and an old notebook and try to make something

i’m really happy to hear that you’ve been enjoying new horizons so far! i’m sure your flag turned out awesome, as well! i’ve actually been trying to teach myself how to draw, too, so i definitely know how it can be a struggle at times, but practice makes perfect, and slow progress is still progress!
