New Villager Stuff

Sorry if title is vague, it is 3AM and brain is dead and couldn't think of something lol

I'm seriously loving the villager's new dialogue, their hobbies, their habits, the fact they have memory and remember small details...

Something pretty neat happened, I'm playing literally right now and normally Gladys is asleep at this hour but I just stumbled across her at 3AM and she said she was having trouble sleeping and decided to have a late night stroll to try to get tired again!

So many small details.

I really love that they do different things beyond just walking around now. That and they have so many different outfits.

At first I was super disappointed with their dialogue but I'm definitely starting to get more personality from all of my villagers as time goes on! It really does feel like you're building a friendship with them since they all seem kind of stand-offish at first.

I love Lily to death because she's consistently a reader! Whether she's under a tree, on a bridge, or at home, she always got her nose in a book. She talks about what she reads too, and once time I saw her mad and when I talked to her, she told me that she was just getting into this new book and Hazel accidentally blurted out a spoiler.
I don't know but something about that makes them feel a little bit more real to me! I love it!

Merengue did something similar, and asked me who left their worktable outside, implying that you're suppose to put them inside.
But she added that she liked it, so no harm done.

Pekoe roasted me today because I wore my denim overalls for 3 days straight, and said that I must really love that outfit because that's all she ever sees me wearing.

I LOVE all the small details that have gone into this game. I feel like every day I notice something new and different.
I also don't know if this is new, or if I just never actually tried in previous games-- but I tried to gently push one of my villagers out of the way of something and hurt his feelings-- I kept talking to him and it let me apologize! I was like "Oh my god precious bean I'm so sorry." I empathize with these darn fake animals too much, but I love the fact you can apologize for hurting their feelings <3

They change their clothes so often. It’s so cute. They also feel overall more alive now. Even their conversations with each other that I chance upon are all unique and funny. They’re also very sweet and I’m growing so attached to all of my villagers. I always find myself wanting to open the game just to see what they’re up to. Lol. I love this game so much.

I especially love when they slowly follow a bug around for a while, or when they just run around blissfully... It's the little moments, and they're all so adorable

I can here to mention the bug chasing. I saw Louie chasing and making faces at a honeybee for a solid minute or two and it was the cutest thing ever!

Muffy and Filbert are sitting on my plaza having coffee together. BonBon was chasing a bee. Celia is a fitness buff. Hamlet...runs around? Dude I though you were the jock not Celia. They're all big readers except Hamlet and Filbert, too.

I don't know why I've seen some complain about the villagers. I think they feel way more real in this game than they did in any previous games. Not only do they say a lot of different things (you just have to get past the first week or so of the game), but they're constantly doing new animations. The game also tracks things about you in the background, like what you're doing, so the animals can comment on it.

Yeah, it's neat! They comment on all sorts of stuff you do. Yesterday a villager told me that they'd seen me breaking tools a lot. lol

Tia seems to love flowers, most of the time when I see her she is either watering the flowers or studying them with a book about flowers in her hand (she will look at the flower, then at the book which has little pictures of flowers in it) it's so great that she has her own little personality!

Today Alfonso and Felicity were running in the plaza with their arms wide open as if they were aeroplanes, while Megan, in a track suit, was exercising.

Antonio apparently loved the basketball tank I gave him, cause he's using it almost everyday.

Also, I saw Felicity doing what looked like some tai chi chuan poses on the beach the other day lol

Bangle is really into tai chi too, because almost every day towards the end of the day, she'll do poses in front of her house for a while, occasionally taking a break to sit by the river by her house.
