New villagers you thought you loved but didn't after they moved in?

I'm curious if it's just me or anyone else too. Were there any villagers you loved when they were announced but didn't connect with after they moved in?

I loved Tiansheng, Shino, Sasha and Ione when they were announced but just couldn't connect with Tiansheng (Genji remains my favorite jock villager) and Sasha after they moved in. I was missing Marty and Toby so bad that I brought Marty back (and Toby next).

I am loving Shino and Ione though! They will be permanent residents and I'm glad since I had no peppy or normal villagers.

Anyone else didn't feel the love for the new villagers after they moved in?

I wanted to sad react but I couldn't, that is big ouch! I do like her looks too, but her dress was very meh for me! I'm glad we are able to redesign their rooms though. I did everyone's on my island! I'd love to have more than 10 though.. there's a lot of others I miss a lot and want on my island.

to answer the question tho, hmm.. i have to say no! i really liked sasha and i am glad to have him! frett is cute too and I always liked crankies so happy with him ♡

I didn’t fully move Ione in but I brought her to the campsite and HHP to check her out and I didn’t click with her at all.

On the other side I didn’t think I was going to like Shino but she looks kinda crazy when she smiles and that endeared her to me haha so she got moved in (I was looking to replace one of my two Normals anyways).

I have Sasha who I love, but Genji is still deeply in my heart. I miss him alot.

I have head cannons for him, drew him in these comics I made. Even partnered him up with Filbert, who I cant let go of.

I love Sasha, he was the kinda villager that I knew I would love, which I do. Ive drawn him, built two head cannons for him. I enjoy talking to him, hes just like any other lazy, but I was right about how I would love him. Esspecially since I adore males who people mistake for a female, or have a name thats more feminine.
But Genji will probably always be my favorite rabbit. I concidered moving Sasha from my main, to my side island. But Im not sure if I want too.
Genji and Filbert replaced Chadder, and Henry. Originally I was gonna hunt for Snake, but then fell for Genji. It was really hard to let him go. Just as hard as Chadder, and Henry.

Since Sasha has such a strong bond with everyone, and I just dont know If I could let him go for Genji.

So yeah. I miss Genji for all the good times we had, but love Sasha because hes so sweet, and Lazy is probably one of my favorite personalities. Its a hard toss up.

Its fun having new villagers, but for me, if I get a strong bond to them, then its basically a done deal, and choice.

this happens to me more times than i can count honestly that's why i dont really ever put my villagers in my signature bc i end up disliking or not liking a new one i got and its just an endless cycle for me lmao

When I first saw the newbies I thought for sure Shino would be my new #1 but I gave her a chance and she just doesn’t vibe with me. I think Audie is the superior peppy. I wish Shino was snooty.

Tbh? None of the 2.0 villagers, but I'm taking new to also mean the ones new in New Horizons lol. It was Raymond. I don't really like smugs in the first place and he just didn't really fit in with my other villagers so I wasn't super excited about him. I talked to him the least and didn't really like how his house looked in my town. I ended up giving him away to someone who'd been scammed while looking for him a lot and I never attempted to get him back in my town lol. I understand that a lot of people like him and his design really isn't that bad, he just isn't for me!

Big agree. Audie is superior peppy for sure. Shino gives major snooty vibes. Too bad she isn't

I still love Sasha but he just won’t wear any of the cute outfits I give him and it’s starting to affect our relationship.

I was surprisingly not as hyped with Shino when I first talked to her on a Nook Mile island. I love her design but when I talked to her, the peppy personality and voice just.... didn't click? I at least expected her to have a lower-pitched voice, but her squeaky peppy voice is so jarring that I'm finding it hard to adjust to her. I still love Shino but I'm definitely headcanon-ing her as a sisterly villager. Her being a high-pitched peppy just really sucks imo.

I was so glad to have Ione that I even had to kick another one out when I ran into her on a hunt for Sasha because she’s so cute and glows in the dark and stuff. So I moved her in as well and well…she’s…a normal personality yeah. Her design is very cute and so is her house but her personality is just…eh. But I dunno. I don’t dislike her but she’s just there. Sasha on the other hand, has won my heart from the first time I saw him in the trailer and has it until now. He’s even sweeter the more I get to know him and I’m seriously crazy whipped for him and I will never ever ever ever let him go. I’m keeping him forever.

I like Marlo, but I'm not as hyped as I was when he was first shown. I still adore this little mob boss, and find his face funny at times. But he's not going to stay at my island and will be cycled out after I get his photo.

Quinn, on the other hand, is awesome. I love her more than I first saw her.

Marcie. She was my first ever kangaroo and I liked the novelty of having the joey as a bonus. But then she never acknowledged it and it just felt weird. Then she ruined my plans for remodeling by refusing to give me her pic so I could move her out as her house didn't fit. If she had given me that pic from when I wanted her to, she would've been remembered more fondly. But she didn't. I spent weeks wasting my time and money on giving her the nicest gifts, always wrapped in pink paper. But she just kept giving me wallpaper etc. I broke my own rule of getting the villagers pic before I let them move in the end, because she was being such a stubborn pink pudding about it. Though it meant that rule went out the window for me and I found it easier to bring in a whole new theme and villagers quickly, without the need to get their pics. So maybe she was useful in that respect.
