Next 3 villager personalities locked

Not sure if this thread has been posted already...

But the next 3 villagers that move in after the starting 2 must be one each of normal, lazy, and peppy personality types. Just a trend that lots have been noticing. Something to keep in mind when you're going to the random islands looking for the villagers to invite. You'll only find normal, lazy, and peppy ones. And in the end, you'll end up with 1 of each when you go to build the villager plots. Either the ones you asked or random ones.

As far as the campsite goes, I haven't gotten there myself yet. It sounds like you have to invite whoever appears there first though, no way around it. And I've been noticing several people getting smug as the villager that goes there first, so smug could be locked to the 6th villager as well. Unless, has anyone gotten anyone different at their campsite?

Yup I agree with you! I noticed this too finding Stu, Winnie and Skye on my nook miles islands

Same experience here. I now wish that I had known earlier so I could've focused more on Nook Miles Tickets to get my dreamies of those personalities but oh well. Live and learn.

One question I hope someone can answer:

What determines when random villagers get assigned? Like, is it after you haven't invited someone after a certain number of days, or after having visited a certain number of Islands?

I don't want to rush into inviting ones I don't love, but I'm worried now that I'll just end up getting stuck with someone worse because they're forced on me haha

I think it's when you complete placing the required furniture for the house plots and haven't invited a villager of that personality type. I'm not entirely sure as I invited all of mine Day 2 before even getting the plots from Tom Nook so I never had to deal with getting randoms for those.

Fingers crossed I get a good smug from the campsite! (knock on wood)

Yeah, I'd seen people mention that in the past few days. I'm still holding out to try to find a better lazy/normal/peppy though. I do not like the ones I've seen so far on islands, and I feel like I'm not even that picky and am not trying to find someone specific. So it might take me a little longer to get those 3 than some others.

Yeah I wasn't that picky either. I just went with the first ones I liked/didn't dislike. Which turned out to be Celia, Deli, and Victoria

The others I found were Stu, Pango, and Tabby
Stu and Tabby I didn't like too much...
Pango I liked and had her in one of my previous games (WW I think), but I got Antonio as a starter so I figured 1 anteater was enough so I passed on her.

My first campsite villager was Claude and he's lazy. I also had Moe move in as one of my three locked villagers. I now have two lazies.

Yep, same experience. When I invited Flora (Peppy) to move in and finished my 2nd plot without inviting anyone, I had Pekoe (Normal) moved in. For my last plot, I visited 3 mystery islands so that I could choose who would move in and I had Broccolo, Barold and Papi, all lazy villagers. If I had known about this, I would have tried for Cube :/
