No letter goodbye upon moveouts

I haven't seen anyone touch on this, but I am interested to see if anyone else noticed! I have had 3 move outs so far, and each time, no goodbye/farewell letter. That was shocking to me. Any thoughts on this? Doesn't clog the mailbox, but, at the same time.. Thats an animal crossing classic..

Hm. That's actually rather interesting. I have only had 1 move so far, but there was indeed no letter.

Btw, did your 10th plot get filled by a random villager, after one of the first 3 left? Or did you invite new ones for all three plots?

I didn't always get them in NL either unless I was good friends with a villager. If I only spoke to them occasionally they wouldn't send a letter. It's probably the same in NH.

i could be wrong but dont you not get a move-out letter if youre not close enough to the villager? at least i feel like that happened in New Leaf, but I could be remembering wrong. Though if you were pretty close to them then i guess that wouldnt matter cause that'd still be pretty strange ;o;

The first time, a random animal moved in right away. The second time, I went looking for someone on the island to invite 3 or 4 times, wasn't happy with anyone so I got another random. 4th time, I found pekoe the first day the plot was empty and invited her.

I confirm they also don’t send goodbye letters in NL if you’re not close enough friends. I wouldn’t either in real life. Lol.

interesting! I never not got a moveout letter in new leaf.. Hm.. I suppose it could be the same concept.. I wonder what marks "friendship" with an animal in the game though? (also new leaf, I totally never noticed..?) I had the ability to give them all gifts randomly if I wanted, and I thought that meant -friends..-
