No Special Character Today?

Hey all, I just booted up my game and for the life of me I can't find my island's daily visitor. My plaza is empty and Redd doesn't show up on the map. I've also checked my beaches, and no sign of Gulliver or Gullivarr. So, I'm assuming that my visitor would be Saharah, Flick, or C.J., but after thoroughly searching my island several times, I can't find any of them. Now I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with my game. I don't think TTing would be the cause of it, but I was doing a lot yesterday in order to flatten out my island for remodeling. I'm just wondering if any of you have experienced this?

Please ignore my above post, I'm just dumb. Gulliver was on one of my seldom-checked secluded beaches where I mainly keep flowers and such...

Honestly this is why I wish Isabelle would announce who’s here. I have a really hard time tracking down Flick & CJ sometimes, and that’s when I know they’re there and I’m just trying to sell them bugs/fish! If I have no idea one of them is on my island and I don’t stumble across them I just... forget they could potentially be wandering around.

Yeah, I really hope that in a future update, Nintendo will implement that and actually have Isabelle do that, it would make her a lot more useful.

LOL ive had CJ hide behind trees before! i couldnt see him At All! if he hadnt moved to behind another tree while i was walking by i never would have known he was there!
also, ive had days when there werent any daily visitors, or at least i dont think there were. maybe they were hiding behind trees too lol

Yes, CJ, Flick and Saharah are hard to spot sometimes, especially if you have a lot of trees/items that can obstruct views.

I'm guessing it's because he's so short, lol. Usually on days when I can't find a special character for the life of me, I automatically go like "welp, it's probably C.J.," and find him a few minutes later.

Depending what time you log on, you may end up missing the npc for that day. I sometimes don't get around to playing until way later in the night and I scour all over the map and don't end up finding any of the npc.

I see that you ended up finding the visitor today, but I figured I would share that bit of information.

I usually start playing at around 9 or 10 in the morning, so I've never really experienced that. The only NPC I've ever really missed out on is Daisy Mae.
