I think the only way to get other colors is to trade with other people... Annoying :'(

I saw someone mention you can randomly get the other colored versions from villagers, but otherwise you'll have to trade with other players :O

I think that we can just trade with other people who have the color we want? I have just unlocked those Nook Miles items, and haven't bought any yet, but they are just regular items, right? The only tricky part is finding someone willing to spend their miles. Probably easier if you're trading Nook Miles item for Nook Miles item.

I'm not so sure it's true that we can get random other colours as gifts from villagers - I have been given these things by villagers twice but in both cases it was the same colour as the one I have available to buy.
