Not able to participate in toy day?

I actually wont be able to connect my switch online until tomorrow. I'm assuming that I wont be able to participate in toy day this year unless I time travel? When I started my game up today, there was no indication that any holiday was taking place, so I'm guessing I missed out, which isnt a super big deal (I think I'm going to miss out on 2 diys?). Just wanted to clarify, thanks! ^-^ and happy Christmas to everyone~

I was a non TT’er until I missed Turkey Day. I assure you it doesn’t affect your enjoyment of the game at all if you only do it to catch missed events.
