A lot has changed since I unlocked terraforming, and sometimes I do miss the simplicity of my old map, but I know I'm going to love what my island will eventually turn into. It'll just take time (and a lot of bells to move literally every building on the island because what even is planning things in advance)​

Lol oops I kinda forgot about this. Oh well, I finally got around to uploading a few screencaps.

Here is Zell partaking in what was his favorite pastime when he was on my island, sweeping the beach. I didn't have the heart to tell him he missed a spot down near the bottom.
