You are as beatiful as a rose
But you have no thorns
Since you are so nice
You also always cheer me up
Even when I do not deserve it
I hope we can stay atleast friends through life
Because your one of the best people I ever met
You are also one of the smartest people I know
And do not deny any of this cause it is all true

It's a good way to collect your thoughts...writing poetry.
Honestly, it did sound a little awkward. Not the message, but your usage of words.
Find a good style and try to use more descriptive words or play around with them in your sentences to emphasize or bring out certain moods or points in your poetry.
It's free style so it can be however you like, but I suggest you find a style you like and stick with it.
