Hello all!
edit; I forgot to add my name! I go by ell!
Although I'm not new to the series at all, I am very new to the forums. Truthfully, my primary reason for sign-up is because, now that amiibo card compatibility has been confirmed, it's spurred me into wanting to try again to complete my collection of cards! Even more than that, though, I'd really like to have even more people to enjoy the series with.
I started playing back on the Game Cube, where it was a game even my mom could get into. (Honestly, she was much better at town maintenance than me...) WW never captured my attention quite as much, and I never had City Folk because I was really nomadic during its heyday and didn't have a Wii. I did get pretty hardcore into New Leaf...until I started seeing how amazing everyone's towns were online, and I began to doubt myself and my creativity. I think that's part of why I ended up loving HHD so much - nobody else ever had to see it! Of course, I know that it was optional with NL, but, well...
To the point, my vigor and excitement has been renewed ten fold with New Horizons. I have new friends in real life who want to play with me (a very first!), and I would like to find a space for myself within the community at last, for a series that's been a calming, safe space for me for all these years.
And maybe I'll even get brave enough to share my new New Leaf town, once it's undergone a little more maintenance!
Did anyone else who set NL aside pick it back up again to help distract from the agonizing wait for NH? I feel like it's really helping me!
