It all began in the fall.
A single copy of animal crossing for the wii was purchased as a early Christmas present. Joy to the world.
A woman who would never play video games EVER! tries out her new gift. A friendship is found, A computer can be cold but a friendly game not as such.
The towns folk accept her and play games like hide and seek, she fishes to pay off her mortgage. Soon the town looks beautiful, with the help of her video game savvy BF she creates a true town. A land we can all love.
Soon the young woman finds she can play with people online! But How?
She connects with the bell tree at random, starts to post her FC hoping someone ANYONE, will add her and come over to visit her town for the first time.
Soon she is meeting new friends from all around the globe. She becomes popular amongst a group of random people and visit them almost every day.
A few months have passed and the bonds of the community are stronger than ever. Then one day, the town is empty. the gates open.
Nothing.
A chilling silence fills the town, no talking, no laughter.
She got personal with someone from the group, and her trust is misplaced. She was defriended by the whole group. and she did not know this was all going on behind her back. I know this because, I bought her that game.
I have never been so sad to hear silence in my home, Where there was mirth and laughter, is replaced with a void. filled only with crying. From the bedroom, a whimper that cannot be heard by those who where once her friend, now she has truly become ostracized, The truly cold ones here are the ones who never gave her a chance to ask why. the computer however, sits alone. no city folk round here.
