Opening island for all tips

Hey guys!
I just spent hours moving my flowers to a certain location for people to come pick up, only to find out players can’t use a shovel. Are there any other tips or thing I should know before for opening up the island? I opened up my island for the first time yesterday so any help will be appreciated!

there isn't much to tell or that you are missing, as you have said unlike how it happened in NL no one can still your flowers so you do not have to worry about, visitors cannot use the shovel at all unless you two are best-friends. There isn't much doing to be honest when you go visiting or receiving visits ( which is super sad ) pp normally come over to other apps islands to sell turnips or to shop either in Nooks or Sables and also to see Celeste or other NPCs players.

Im not sure if you know already, so i will just mention it super quick, when you have visits over you can not construct or basically place stuff like fences aaand thats it hahah. I must admit there is so little to do in each other islands and the chat is a bit uncomfortable to i have not have pp in my island for soo sooo loooong haha. Anyways, hope i could have helped you

The only way to make people use their shovels is if you send them a "best friend" request when you add them through nookphone. However I would not recommend this because some people like to cause trouble so they have access to the Axe as well which can cause them to chop down trees on your island. So be VERY careful when sending best friend requests to randoms

If you have any dropped items as decoration, visitors can yoink those. The next most destructive thing is just plucking flowers (but it's not the end of the world). If you have money trees, be wary that some might shake those down.

Be aware too that people can hang up designs in your Able Sisters. I never really worried too much about that but it can happen.

I didn't even think about the able sisters! Thank you so much. I just moved all my money trees too. Thank you!
