Hello, hello~
I've had this idea that I've been contemplating lately and was hoping to get some opinions on it, or even advice from anyone who's done something similar before. I will be resetting my town soon (due to several factors which have made it no longer fun for me), but do not want so many of my items to go to waste. I've already moved all of the hybrids, items, etc. I plan to keep to a second town, so right now my town exterior has hybrids, clovers, golden tools, bells, and other items (such as Gracie's, fortune cookie items, DLC items, etc.) scattered about randomly.
My thought was to play a sort of game. I would invite one person to my town at a time. Once they arrive I would set a timer for 5 minutes, during which they can run around and pick up anything they'd like. Once the five minutes are up I would end the session and bring someone else over.
My only rules would be that:
1. No storage trips! Everyone is limited to what they can carry in their inventory (letters for attaching items to are fine).
2. I would ask that people don't destroy flowers for the sake of it.
3. No visiting shops. I would set my time to an hour when everything is closed anyway.
I was considering inviting more than one person at a time, but I realized there'd be little stopping me from keeping people from going at it while others are still arriving before I can set a timer and if someone forces me to flip the wifi switch (for whatever reason) and ruins it for everyone else.
But that's basically my idea at the moment! I suppose if it doesn't work out I could sell the items, too, but I have no need for IGB and rarely ever use TBT for anything. I'd love to hear opinions all the same! c:
(Also, the reason I would not want anyone to visit shops is because I think if someone is speaking with an NPC the game won't let me end session? I'm not 100% sure on that, but if true it would really dampen my desire to keep the game moving so others can come visit).
