amiibo Festival Opinions

As I was reading more about AC WiiU, this game wasn't meant to be the official fifth game of the series (as well as the ACHHD game). This was only a solution to the failing party games for the WiiU.

What is up with you and opinion threads?

That is my opinion.

True that.

No he just wants to get some more TBT for writing forum posts :p

Please be respectful.

On the flip side, I would agree that this thread is created way ahead of time. When this game comes out, it would be the right time to judge.

I love party games like Mario Party and Dokapon Kingdom. This looks to be the same sort of game (although I would like it more if there were minigames or roshambo between rounds, but we've only seen a little bit of it so far).

The only thing I don't like is that it looks like you'll have to own multiple Animal Crossing amiibos to play this with friends, which is kind of lame.

Respectful? I changed it a bit so it's cool :3. In all seriousness he made this thread just because there is only a couple of threads here, which isn't really suitable at the moment :p.

On the plus side, if Amiibo are required, they're pretty much forced to make sure there isn't a shortage of them since they're necessary to play.

...Which makes me kind of sad that I'm now hoping Amiibo are necessary to a game just so I know they can't risk a shortage of them...

I heard somewhere that amiibo cards are compatible. But if not they will sell a bundle.

Well, I have a Japanese Wii U, only for the next doubutsu no mori game. However, there doesn't seem to be a positive search on "Wii U doubutsu no mori". It HAS to have a Japanese counterpart, after all it's HEAVILY Japanese, and sells higher in Japan than America (both New Leaf and Wild World the highest in the series both had higher sales in Japan than the US).

For my opinion on the game? Well, it is Mario Party styled board game that uses Animal Crossing amiibo. I like Mario Party. I love Animal Crossing, so I'm going to get this game either way. As for Happy Home Designer, that's where I've got mixed emotions- those cards I don't want to collect after the 2003 fiasco of trying to collect them all, but I want this game to its max, which means cards. The physical amiibo I want more than the Amiibo Festival, but like I said before, I have a Japanese Wii U, so I'll get this game for it (at least the Japanese one)...

not gonna lie, this type of game is going to ruin the gaming industry overall. when games are no longer games, but additions for figurines or other such things. this is absolutely horrible. i dont know whose bright idea it was to make the amiibo required, but it certainly is the worst route they could go with this game.

if this was mario party dlc it would be alright though. not for 60 bucks though

The good news is that I don't have to abandon my town in New Leaf. But I was expecting an Animal Crossing Wii U game. That's what we got, but not what I thought.

Do I hate the game? Of course not. After taking the past day to cool down, I looked at amiibo Festival again. It's rather charming. And free, so there's nothing for me to be upset about. This game and Happy Home Designer look like fun spin-off titles to the AC series. Yeah, a main Wii U game would be great. But for now, I can sit down and enjoy these titles.
