randomly, I happen to know feverfew grows well in part shade in the Bay Area. It has a unique odor that some don’t like, but I find pleasant.
I think most nurseries have listings which include what light and amount of water the plants need. If you live in the east bay I can make some recommendations.
there is also a book called ‘golden gate gardening’ which is specifically about gardening in the various microclimates of the Bay Area, and if you are looking to get more into gardening that might be a good one.
