Overwatch movie rumor?

Wasn't there rumors of an Overwatch movie mentioned some time ago, or is it just wishful thinking from many? Something about lootbox money going toward it? Maybe a youtube news person mentioned that one. People do keep mentioning it in the comments section of cinematic trailers and shorts.

I actually don't play the game, but have enjoyed most of the shorts available.

Yeah, I heard this as well. It would be pretty weird if true; planning on making it a movie, but changing it into a game due to budgets, only to actually make a movie of it later on.

I would watch for the lore. I can't play due to headaches/motion sickness from FPS anyways. I like the characters but I don't know that much about the league. I love the characters Mei, Mercy, and Zenyatta. So I would probably watch if they were in it. I also like the Genji/Hanzo story line.

Hey guys, any overwatch players over there ? I really like this game, maybe we could play together, if you want ? I think that it's the best game, because it has a really nice design and gameplay. The only problem is that it's a pretty complicated game, and a lot of players are giving up on that game because of its difficulty. I had a very low rating back in the past, but I have found a very good overwatch boosting and it has solved my problem. I am playing only with high skill players now, and I really like it very much.

to what extent would this work though?... this game has 30 "main" characters. if you ask me that would only work if they made it a sociological kind of story, kinda like game of thrones, or if they left a big chunk of them out, but the latter would surely start a riot from fans. The other option is kinda splitting them into groups of six, each group with their own little arch, but even in theory that sounds terrible lol
