So apparently I had to raise my approval ratings... god I never even wanted a management position, why did I have to get thrown into politics? Isabelle was helpful though. Mostly kept telling me to pull weeds and fish trash out of the river, but this town doesn't have any weeds (it's... it's February where do weeds even come from this time of year there's like three inches of snow on the ground?!) and I fished for hours and didn't catch a single piece of trash.
Caught something called a stringfish though? I dunno. The owl who runs the museum
...
The owl who runs the museum seemed surprised anyway, so I guess it's something rare?
Anyway, I got my approval up to 100%. Yay me?
The recycling shop is nice. Pays surprisingly well?
Here's the weirdest thing though, after I sold some stuff, I went to the post office. We have an ATM... no, ABD here? Anyway we've got a thing that handles the money remotely but no actual bank and that's not my point, the point here is I... had like 100,000 bells in my account already.
Made paying off the house loan easier anyway, now I get to sleep on a real floor!
I kinda lost track of the day... Isabelle said we won't get the town development permit until tomorrow at best, probably a few days from now. She gave me some cool stuff though, some kinda special biodegradable spray paint? She says people move in and out a lot, and that ever since the old mayor left, things kinda got left to their own devices... no real civic structures being built, no-build land boundaries got washed away, stuff like that. There's no trees... not many flowers either. So part of my job is helping gets things more organized! Not that I can like, kick anyone out, but I can mark off where things can and can't be built.
So I... might've uh.
Spent all afternoon and until like 8am spraying the hell out of the grass. I've found a few areas that look like they'd be promising housing spaces, and there's this gorgeous stretch of land on the eastern half of the river... we'll see what I'm allowed to develop, but this could be interesting, I suppose.
