He's not original, but he's just so, so cute, and I have the hardest time letting him go since he was one of my original villagers. His house isn't a total mess last time I checked, just a lot different than it was, and he's wearing the original shirt still.
I really want him to go to a nice place!
Papi (オカッピ, Okappi?) is a lazy horse villager that first appears in Animal Crossing: New Leaf.
Papi has white stripes on his legs and body which is a purplish red color. His appearance suggest he is supposed to be an okapi, a close relative of the giraffe, rather than a horse. He has black eyes, but when he is suprised or shocked, his eyes are the same as Isabelle's, and when he cries or does the 'mistaken' emotion, his eyes are the same as Stitches's.
As a lazy villager, Papi likes food. He will often bring up the subject of random foods in regular conversation. After you get to know him, he is very hospitable and will share some of his dreams, such as a comic book writer and hero. He is a lover of fruit, and will often ask for different types of fruit. He can be found wandering around the town, sometimes carrying a fishing rod, or net, though rarely actually fishing or trying to catch bugs. His catchphrase may be confused with Jay's, which is "Heeeey."
