This piece is based on themes from songs performed by Estrella Morente; the main theme is loosely based on Cancion de los Pastores, a traditional Spanish song with lyrics by Federico Garcia Lorca. It was recorded by Estrella on her Christmas album "Calle del Aire". Also making an appearance is a solea por bulerias falseta by Pedro Cortes Jr. I segue into numerous flamenco forms in this tune, though I suppose it's best not to classify them and just call it a flamenco-tinted tribute to one of the best flamenco cantaoras.
