Hey guys, I am new to this platform and I wanted to ask what it means when people want ?tbt? as payment. Can I buy them? Do I earn them? Im sorry if the answer is obvious but I dont understand it hehe

TBT represents the sites' currency, it's under your profile picture where it says "Bells". You earn TBT by posting comments here, and no, you can't buy them. They're a reward for being active/participating in the forums. c:

I'm sure others will come in and explain more/offer links on where to read about it !

Hello annxyi, Tbt is the forum's own currency. Tbt means "The Bell Tree (Bells)" and it are points you earn by posting.
When you look in the sidebar (the text under your avatar), under Join Date you can see 'posts' and 'bells'. In your case, it means you have earned 11 Tbt by posting a total of three times.
When you (or any other user) write a post, you are rewarded Tbt automatically, which means it can quickly add up if you post a lot! :)
The reason people want Tbt as payment, is that Tbt is used as payment itself, for AC:NL (or Pocket Camp, or other spin-off games) villagers, services (such as a weeding town) or items. I myself use Tbt for payment towards people who sell rare items, sometimes region exclusives, which are hard to obtain for me otherwise.

Also, Tbt can be used in the Shop in the forum. You can find the shop under the page's 'The Bell Tree Forums' text, to the right of "Forum home" and "Animal Crossing World". The shop is used for seasonal events (such as halloween or christmas) and sells collectibles :)

I hope this post will be helpful for you! If you have more questions about the site, please do ask them! :blush:
Also, welcome to the forums :)

Thank you so much! I have to be a little more active to get my dreamie then. :}

Thank you so much! I?m sorry this is probably one of the easiest things to learn haha.

You can earn TBT by making posts and threads, selling art, selling acnl items, selling villagers and selling collectibles on the TBT marketplace.. Hope this helped!

It's really easy to earn tbt. You earn it by posting a lot in threads and selling items and services in New Leaf, but of course, if you wait till New Horizons comes out, then offering services and items then will probably be much better. Being active a lot helps too. Also, if you earn rare collectibles from events on here, you could sell those for a lot of tbt too. :)

TBT is a currency used on here for doing trades ect. It can be used in a practical sense by buying in game items off other players, or you could use it to buy jpeg images :/

On threads such as this you can see other peoples profile and details. Click on the number next to the currency under your profile picture. From here you can exchange and trade with that player with the pop up window.

I hope this helps you out on understanding the forum more :)
