The puns! It burns my eyes to read them! But I’d rather not touch those. I’m worried about using any hacks. Also, who knows why they have that cap; you could be wrecking your island without you knowing it.This is a bridge too far. I'm not inclined to allow this in my town. But I'll take ten of those bundles to decorate with.
I mean, I don't want anything hacked in my town because I don't want to risk anything happening to my save file. But to each their own- if they wanna hack their game like that, then more power to 'em. I don't think they should be ashamed or try to hide it or anything. I've seen lots of cool stuff hackers have done and while, again, I'm never going to do it- sometimes it's cool to see what they manage to accomplish.

i guess i’m just taken a back because having conversations with people here, we’ve never seen people hack their islands like they did with new leaf towns (going all out). as it is risky. it’s all i’m saying. and i never see giveaways for those hacked trees. risk and all. so while scrolling the tl and seeing a giveaways for inclines i was shocked & curious too— as someone who already maxed on inclines
Same! I was thinking of how hard I worked to save up for those first inclines/bridges and that would've been delightful
Oh, they posted on here and were actually offering to give them a way? That does make it seem a bit weirder, I thought you were exaggerating and they had laid them all out to show off or something! Still, to each their own. If they wanna try it, it might be risky for their game, but doesn't bother me.
I'm curious if it would even work, though? Like, would you be able to actually place those kits and get an actual incline put up with them? I feel there's a solid chance something in the game would block it... if not now, potentially in an update, and then what would happen if your town already had a ton more inclines than it should? Would it even load properly? Definitely seems risky.
so yeah, it is a bit different compared to just showing off your island. i’ve never encountered hackers who are like, yeah i hacked all these nmt’s go buy it. that one guy who gave away free hacked raymond’s in order to break the black market was an exemption no it’s actually a giveaway
me too, i wonder if you could remove it still? does it work like it normally would? the risky part is that, word comes around fast these days! if nintendo ever patches it on next update, it’s too risky.
That's kind of why I'm like... doesn't bother me. If someone wants to go through the trouble of hacking, and someone else doesn't want to but wants to enjoy the proceeds, then whatever. Sort of like how some people don't TT, but will still enjoy getting items they wouldn't otherwise be able to get from those of us who do (albeit TT is a lot less risky to the game).
There's just so many questions around how/if they'd work that I just wouldn't be willing to mess with it. I doubt some of the other hacks, like villagers or the star fragment trees, carry quite as much risk. But, if it does work, and if Nintendo ever patches the game so it no longer does, hopefully it's accompanied by an increase in incline limit! I'd certainly love to be able to place more.
