perfect town question

so i finally got a perfect town...and was wondering, will i lose my status if i leave items on the ground to give to my second player? is there a time limit? within the day?

I did that a few times with money. I dropped items on the cobblestones by the train station, saved and switched players. It didn't affect my status - I still got my golden watering can after 15 days.

I'm not sure about leaving them there overnight, but they'd probably be sent to the lost and found anyway (if you have the police station).

as far as I know, all that matters is what's on the ground when the town rolls over at 6 am. Picking stuff back up the same day won't affect your rating.

stuff is not sent to the lost and found though, it will sit there forever.
