Phone Switching Problem

I have a friend who is switching from an iphone to an android. She had hoped to finish it before the Google event to get the other prizes. However, she has been unsuccessful. Now she is just concerned that her old phone is on its last days and she cannot get her account on the android phone. She has followed instructions and called Nintendo twice. It seems to login with her account but the game it starts is a brand new one. Anyone have any tips or tricks for switching to a new phone?

I am worried about this too. My device is getting old and I am fraid I will not be able to get my account on a new one either.

What were the instructions she was given?

Has she linked her Pocket Camp game to her Nintendo account (if she has one)? I think that's necessary to carry save data. Just make sure not to unlink the account, because the save data will be deleted as soon as she does that. After it's all linked up, she should be able to log onto a separate device with her Nintendo account info.

We think it is linked. The coins that she earns from the weekly tasks show up online when she checks her "My Nintendo" account.

We tried Nintendo and Animal Crossing World for the instructions. It just does not seem all that complicated, so it is kind of frustrating that she has had no success.

The phone she wants to start playing it on is brand new, so for sure Pocket Camo has not been installed there before and played by someone else.
