I'm currently working on my main island, and have decided I want all the reactions so I'm going switch two villagers out

But I think I'm very close to getting their photos, after I get all tje reactions I'm gonna invite them back,

But should I keep going to get the photo? Or hold off, and get the remaining reactions first?

Well you can keep the villagers to get the reactions that you are missing, if you have a guide that shows which personality of a villager gives these reactions. So if you do get their photo and haven't gotten a reaction from them, you should wait until it comes up, however this can be RNG, because when you are at a high friendship with your villager after getting their photo they can sometimes ask you for a nickname or suddenly give you gifts out of nowhere.

For me personally I am not much care about reactions I mostly focus on getting their photos and then I can get let them leave. However, sometimes if the villager doesn't give me their photo in like 2 or 3 months then I will let them leave and just go to Harvs island to get their poster just to make up for it, because it will show proof that I had the villager with me.

Anyways, you do what you feel is best for you because sometimes this game can be so RNG that it doesn't always guarantee you would get their reactions or photos and it can be time consuming.

Ah ok, I just need the female reactions, but was thinking about keeping the ones that I have photos of, to keep the friendship.

Then let the ones I dont have photos for be replaced. Then after I get all the reactions, I'd move them back in

Well take it from me who used to keep a lot of villagers last year and then I got so bored of them so then I decided that I would let them go. Now if you really like your villager that you worked so hard to get then its okay in your right to keep them. Like I would not get rid of Raymond for example because he was a real pain to find and I would not let him go.

The rest of the villagers however I don't really mind letting them go after I get their photo. I do have amiibo cards to invite them whenever I want so it doesn't make me feel too bad about it. I used to limit myself so much last year, but I learned that when you get photos its like an achievement and proof that you worked hard to earn their friendship.

Ah, ok. Yeah I intend on keeping all my villagers. But maybe I will get the reactions first

I mainly want them because I make movies on Harvey's island, so the more I have, the better

Its a lot harder to get photos than reactions, imo. Reactions you can get from any villager of the same personality type, photos you can only get from specific villagers. I say keep them until you get their pics, then switch them out.

Yeah, but if I switch them out, then I'll lose the friendship I gained, having them there

So that's why I think switching them out first would be good.. but I'm not 100% on that

Ah yes thats one of the unfortunate things about letting a villager leave is that their friendship is restarted, even if you find them again on a Nook Mile island or Random visit on the campsite they will act like they don't know who you are. So if you care about friendships that much then you can let your villagers stay, but again its up to you to decide.

Yeah, so that's why I think I should switch them out first. Then when I get them back, the friendship will be permanent, and I dont have to worry about loosing it
