I've seen a lot of beautiful paths, but most of them seriously clash with the cobblestone and dirt pathways that we aren't able to cover. I'm really extremely picky about the paths looking correct, and having a giant un-natural square cut out of the areas near doors REALLY messes me up!

All I can think of is making extra path peices with the dirt or cobblestone naturally crumbling away or fading into the path / plaza... But I've already used the last 4 hours of my day making paths and I'm lazy ; u ;

If anyone feels like they have a path / plaza pattern that really works with these openings, please post pictures / examples of them!

Thank youuuu <3

Why do you feel the need to path the paved area around buildings anyway? I just start my paths where the cobblestone ends as it's a replacement of the cobblestone I had around the building.

Also, this pattern, the first to come up when searching 'acnl cobblestone' on Google images, blends in perfectly with the paved area, though the colours do not match completely. Maybe that will help you? :)

I just really like the look of the designs around those areas~ The way my town is laid out the little pathways work out best if they go right around the entrances to the houses. I would leave the cobblestone out if the patterns looked like they would naturally branch off from it, but I want a bit more color than the grey in the town I'm working on~

Thank you for the pattern! I have that one currently but I'm still searching for something that could blend into a different pattern~ I might just go with the natural warn-down paths rather than patterns, but I really really like the patterned grounds in other towns I've seen, so I'm trying to mix it up a bit ^-^

I think the best option would be to start tiling at the edge of the cobblestone. For instance, there are stream or waterway paths with small bridges across them that might look nice.

Sort of like this:

Additionally, if you trade often or might do so, it means you'd be able to use the cobblestone by the train station, and waterway paths are probably easier to find or make than paths that blend into the cobblestone.
