On my second day I started noticing the grass on the hills starting to fade out, then the grass on the way to Nooks(since I run to it so much). Fast forward to today and you'll see that we've run over it so much that grass is almost non-existent in some areas.

This feature REALLY makes the town look gross. I just hope it only happens during the cold months when the grass is generally dying/hibernating/whatever. I don't even want to think of how this will ruin the snow come December 10th.

It'll probably be part of keeping a perfect town, too. Stop running on those spots. Walking doesn't wear it out, I don't think.

Just plant more trees and flowers, it will keep the grass alive and make it grow back faster.

MORE trees?! I've been hoping to get rid of some of them because they're cluttered in some areas.
I meant plant more trees and flowers near the areas dying, depending on how close they are determines how fast the grass grows back.

But if I keep running over it, won't it keep it from ever regrowing?
Probably, but it won't die as fast when there's more trees/flowers. Just walk over it until it's fully re-grown.

I don't like this at all, it sounds almost as annoying as having to water flowers...does the grass stay dead forever?

Read the other posts, your question was answered before even you knew that you was going to post it.

It grows back when you ignore it and take out weeds and plant Trees.

It will probably look better once it actually looks like a real path though

That's what happens in real life, but it takes a lot longer. I have a quick noob ?...When you chop down a tree with an axe, does the tree trunk stay there forever or eventually go away? And I noticed on other posts in other topics that you chop down a tree, then you grow a new one? Can you also just plant the seed?

Yeah it happens in real life, but who plays animal crossing for its realism?

Im not too fond of it, we'll see I suppose, but I saw some villages that are half covered in paths and have dying grass everywhere, it looks horrid.

You shovel the stump out, if you plant a fruit or seed where the stump was before you fill in the hole, its 100% guaranteed to grow.

Here's some before and after shots of my town.

Sunday evening.

Last night.

And this isn't just on that neat little hill, it's EVERYWHERE. It's really killing the fun I had with this game. :(
