Please critique my pixel?

I made my first pixel character based off myself. Any thoughts or ideas on how to improve it? I'm also planning to do some simple animations on it as well, so I would like tips on that too.

waaa~ so cute! i dont really see anything wrong with it proportion/line-wise. it looks very neat and well put together! maybe just reconsider the size of the eyes? but if that's the style you're going for then~

it looks ok, but lots of banding and lots of similar colours. thought the eyes were glasses lmao but yeh its nice
