If you’ve heard of me before, then I’m going to do the opposite of what I did last time.
I don’t want to do anymore request threads of art of mine, but it’s still a likely factor- I may change my mind and start a thread, but I won’t make it hard for me to do and I will be cautious next time.

Anyways, this thread in short is about me requesting you to draw me and my man.

It can be done any way you want: best friendmanship, romantic, strange stuff...

Info:
-We are the standard fat and skinny duo, but we are a couple who are also best friends.
-We love to play video games
-We also love cartoons but we still have our differences(I don’t like Tom and Jerry but he does)
-We are still pretty childish
-He’s older than me.
-Our personas are a fox and a Rabbit(with a long tail).
-My boyfriend is nicknamed Maui, while my name is Jade
-Maui is generally the positive, friendly, freeman, while I’m the negative, anti-social, mess-up. I’m tough to others but I still have an easy-to-crack shell, but Maui is like the guy who can easily put a bull like me to sleep and tame, and uncover my emotions so easily.
-Maui is also depressed as me but in a “reaching adulthood” way, but unlike me he hides his scars very easily.
-We are not the type of couple who would fight. If there is conflict, we would talk about it.

I'm finally done! It took me a couple of days to do this and it was really fun to do! I was actually smiling a lot throughout the process of my drawing without stopping. I'm not even kidding.

I wasn't even able to sleep the other night so I did some 'till I got tired.


Here it is! Maui & Jade! (But the image is massive and I can't control the size!)


I even added a Smash Bros. Character introduction: Maui & Jade couple up for battle!

Things I wanted to say:
- You two really fit together <3
- I just let my skills out! I wanted to make sure I made my drawing in the best possible way!
- I added in the Smash Bros. character introduction as a bonus.
- This was done traditionally, not on a computer. I had to scan it in as a result.

Art process notes:
- I felt like Maui's ears could've been done better. Pointy ears seem to be my weakness, especially in animal crossing style.
- I noticed your character wears a LOT of red. I made sure the colour I used is correct because your sweater seemed to have a slight hint of red.
- Not sure if this is the eyepatch you're looking for. My apologies if this isn't the one.
- More than halfway in my drawing, I just noticed that you wanted your character to have red eyes and I coloured it in black. I was like, "OH NO! WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!?". I just coloured red over it and it doesn't look too bad! I eventually coloured it over your bow and skirt as their colours have a really dark red, at least that's what I see.
- I was a bit stumped of what colour I should've used for your bunny ears. I went with the same colour as your sweater. For the inside, I mixed pink (magenta?) with red because you seem to really love red!
- Speaking of bunny ears, I used it instead of having to use the ponytail. I think it fits much better in my opinion.
-I used a permanent marker to colour Maui's hair, your skirt, and your bow. If I used a pencil crayon, it wouldn't be as good.
- I asked myself if I should use orange or the colour used here in this drawing because I looked at the references and Maui doesn't really have orange fur.
- I hope I got his hair right...
- I made the colour transition from bright to dark for the character introduction. Gives it a more dramatic feeling.

Tl:dr
I was just having a blast while paying attention to the little details. This is probably the only one that I feel VERY happy about. Fulfilling an art request feels so satisfying! I'm probably asking too much but I have feeling that I should make another one for you but I want to give other people a chance. We'll see.



Sidenote:
I wish that you and Maui will have the best relationship in each other's lives! I really hope that both of you would overcome depression and put it in the trash. Being able to talk to someone would not be an issue at all. And please, if there is some sort of misunderstanding between you and your boyfriend, talk it out so you would solve the conflict in no time and leave it behind you.

EDIT: Feedback is greatly appreciated. If you can get Maui to provide feedback as well, that would be great!

The eyepatch I was referring to was a black pirate eyepatch but still, your drawing is so cool! Thank you so much. I upped the prices a bit so you should be getting more tbt than before.
Indeed I love red, and Maui is the man of green but his outfits are usually monochrome which is fine to me.
I love how you made it into a smash bros.-esque style while preserving the animal crossing shape. I’ve always wanted to duel Maui in a smash bros. fight but we never get a chance since we are so far apart.

The art style really reminds me of those old cartoonish manga like Doraemon and that’s one thing I really like about it. It really brings up that we do imagine ourselves in wacky adventures and you helped capture it. Maui looks super cute!

Coloring could need some little work onto but this is a really good piece overall, and I’m really glad you’re proud of it!

Thank you once again for the art and compliment. I’ll be sure to show this piece to Maui and hoping that he’ll get a reaction and thought about it too.

I really enjoyed drawing again and am thinking of drawing more!! I used to study games design which consisted a lot of character modelling, graphics design and concept art, when I was studying I found art and drawing more of a chore then a hobby but now I am not studying anymore I am so glad I took this task on because I feel enthusiastic about drawing again!!! My sister said that your character reminds her of a red velvet cupcake. I'm beginning to think of that too. XD And I liked how my sis tried to give Maui a jet black hair as it looks cool. She's also a bit younger than me so she'll appreciate your comment and would like your feedback!

In fact I do like Red Velvet Cupcakes. Perhaps I just like the color red a bit too much.
I'll be sure to show this to Maui as well to gather his thoughts! (if he can)

I like the fact that your sister made us in an art style that remind me of some other cartoons I know in love... Yin, Yang, Yo... Chowder... Ren and Stimpy... Etc.
For some reason, my character drawn here reminds me of Panini and I think it's adorable because I can actually compare myself somewhat to Panini's obsession to Chowder, and while me having my own obsession to Maui, but not too obsessed hehe.
Whatever long and shaggy hair maui has, I'd always be attracted. I had an attraction to men with long hair ever since I had that attraction to Maui. Looks like your sister did that real swell.
