My Corruption disk is scratched and it always freezes at on certain point. So I'm wondering if those of you who have beat the game can tell me if I have to do that specific part.

I got the Screw Attack and received a message from the AU to go to the ship Valhalla to gather "intelligence". After the part where you land your ship, go through that room with the two dead bodies blocking the door (Ew) and enter the next room is where the problems start. Within one or two minutes of me busting that crate (With that gel monster in it) that blocking the door my game freezes up.

I've found that I can skip that and go straight to Elysia, and I've reached the Elysia Leviathan seed. But is the G.F.S Valhalla part optional? Because that's where my game freezes up.

I appreciate any help.

From the guide I've been using, you don't have to do that part until the end of the game.

"On the way, what's-her-face will tell you about the
missing ship, Valhalla, and will give you the coordinates to investigate.
Y'know what? You don't really need to go there until near the end of the
game, so don't worry about it."

Well, at least I can enjoy a bit more. Thanks Flygon.

I'm not 100% certain about this because I haven't played MP3 in a while, but I believe you can skip *some* of the Valhalla parts. I seem to recall thinking while I was playing that if I'd done things differently I could've skipped parts of it rather easily. If you're glitching right at the beginning of the Valhalla, though, you might be in trouble.

Flygon is right, though, you can skip all of it until almost the end of the game.
