Wintertime, a cold war broke out
Ignorance caused, without a doubt
Great woods, the setting of the fight
The people thought, this can't be right
Dishonored by the ugly bout

The forest had been set aflame
Though no one man could take the blame
Unholy fire burned through the spring
Set ablaze, near everything
Dancing until the summer came

Silence hung o'er the blackened field
Fruits, the trees would no longer yield
Once proud foliage, felled to the ground
And no one dared to make a sound
Around the bend, surely Death kneeled

Fools on the hill, conflicting missions
One wished to improve conditions
One betrayed his fellow men
One sought to kill the madmen
One ruled they not take action

Now many folks do not attend
The past's wounds we can not mend
The future may bring something new
Come with the wind or morning dew
But we don't know where this will end_________________________________________________The third thread I'm editing before I leave - gotta have something to say I was here, am I right? Seeing as I didn't mention it before, I left the 7th of October, 2008. Just coming back, 13 days later, to do this. Here's what the snippet from the second to last stanza meant: Bulerias, a damn good admin, sought to make this site really nice, get some review copies of games, make it real popular. OddCrazyMe, he was pretty cool once, but is a real suck-up nowadays, and stuck his nose into too many places at once. Darth, who I don't really talk to, wanted to punish every little thing to set an example. And Storm, the root, didn't want anything to change. He's really the big ass in this picture.

Why I didn't comment, I don't know.

You did a really good job writing it. It just flows so eloquently... <3

I'm not much into poetry, and I don't know much about it, but I think this was amazing. D:

Really nice job.

BUT THAT was AWESOME!!!
