Time always went by so slowly,
But one look behind,
And he realizes how far he came.

The scars and bruises on the gleaming wonder.
The dust on the once-shining diamond.
The mold on a perfect plane;
So close, yet so far.

From the glory of gold he strayed,
And accepted the fate
Of being in the back seat of someone's victory.

The years passed like sand;
Once gone, never returned.
Light speed drained the crystals like rain
However,
The journey to the end seemed so far away.

There is always a victor in the spotlight,
But behind lies the person, one step away.

Maybe small things matter, like a dullness in vibrancy.
