Pokemon Battle Revolution - EPIC FAILURE...?

Hi everyone.

This is a thread where we can discuss, IMO, what a complete failure for Nintendo Pokemon Battle Revolution was.

IMO, Pokemon Collesium & XD Gale Of Darkness were the best games of their time, brilliant storyline... brilliant... well, everything. Most of the mistakes Nintendo made in Collesium were fixed in XD. While we were all eager to have a brand new chapter to the Shadow Pokemon saga, we get a game that is COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY USELESS. No wonder XD's prices are more than they were than they were when they came out, IT'S A GREAT GAME. ALL of the pokemon games have run along a storyline, even Snap, but BR, NO. Its JUST BATTLING. That is about as interesting as a Rich Tea biscuit.

Pokemon battle wasn't a complete failure.

Yes, the online is pretty pathetic and there's no storyline whatsoever. There are no mingames and there is nowhere to catch or train pokemon. Most of the music makes your ears bleed and the announcer tells you how much damage you've done before you can see it for yourself. And there's weird jumps between pokemon animations.

Yet, I don't hate this game. In fact, I like it.

It's the first time that i've ever been able to face random people over wifi. Diamond and Pearls wifi is terrible without friend codes and we all know how bad they are.

The computer opponents actually have some skill and when all the levels are set to 50 it's actually quite challenging. You can't just run into the higher ranks of the game with a team that was thrown together and expect to win like you can on other games *coughMt.Battlecough*.

But yeah, Nintendo need to bring out another game in the Shadow Saga thing, otherwise, if they carry on making things like PBR, they'll lose a load of money.

I want to see a pokemon platinum like game but in full 3D, in a giant world with the same kind of customisation with your character that you got in Pokemon battle revolution.

Its not really for the RPG its more you battle and get extra items that have a really good use in Diamond and Pearl.Like you can get A Pikachu that knows surf and bolt tackle.Or get kings rockor a magmorter or electivire.But To put it simple its a game to collect Item if you've used up the item or need the items.

It's a good way to play online and has great graphics, but there's not much of a storyline. We need a proper 3D pokemon game!

its supposed to be a game of revolutionized battle.....not epic story line...and i actually like the game...i think people just expected too much..

This game actually pleased me. Yes, there are things that bug me, but the good outweighs the bad. The ugly isn't really there.
