I've been playing a lot of Pokemon Cafe Mix lately, and I also love to cook. It follows, then, that I'd love to try and make some of the really adorable recipes from the game ^_^
But I'm having trouble sussing out what some of the ingredients could possibly be...any help? I'm currently looking at the Gossifleur salad. I just can't tell what the flower is supposed to be made of!

I'll absolutely post pictures once I actually make some!

Looks like a pretty standard salad to me. Mixed greens...tomatoes...maybe cucumber or avocado. A ball of rice on the side. Not sure what the big flower is made of...but, the little center part looks like it could be three kernels of corn. The flower is orange. So...some kind of squash? Who knows. In real life, a lot of fancy foods have garnishes that are technically edible, but, not necessarily meant to be eaten. So...it could be something like that. I mean...a big chunk of raw pumpkin or squash with three tiny pieces of corn isn't exactly "mouthwatering"...but, you could put it on a plate for appearance...and then eat around it. I suspect that is what this is supposed to be. Like...the top part of a pumpkin, with those lines that go down the sides...

I guess I can see it as squash...I just didn't consider that since that would be a very odd choice indeed for a salad. Maybe there's more corn as a part of the salad? I had also assumed that the white on the side was cauliflower...you've certainly given me, aha, food for thought, thanks.

To me personally, the flower looks like a custom-made donut, maybe with some sort of lemon filling. But yeah, it does look like a typical salad, so perhaps the flower could be the bread for the meal. I've gotten the game, but haven't played it much, but I do love cooking as well, I have both a Harry Potter cookbook and a Star Wars cookbook, and they both have unique and delicious recipes. Maybe if enough people petition, Nintendo could make a cookbook of their own with recipes based of the ones in the game, who knows?

I found an Instagram post of the real life version being sold in the Pokemon Cafe in Japan and the second pic shows the menu description! Apparently the big orange flower is a pancake! (also the mini Eldegoss is potato, not rice like LuchaSloth guessed)
