DirtyD
It's gonna be a great giorno!
DirtyD's Creature:
Welcome to Pooville!
This is the journal for my NH Island, Pooville. I am going to be including an additional couple posts which will include details on my neighbors and their homes and the 2nd island I am making sometime this week. This will serve as my island for events and extra fun stuff. I welcome you to comment and stuff. I've included tons of pics. Keep in mind I'm far from done, I have lots of tweaking to do.
Southern Hemisphere
Theme: I wanted a natural feel to my island. I also wanted all Cat residents.
Native Fruit: Pears
Native Flower: I have no idea what my starting flower was, I have all of them now.
Here is a map of Pooville. I have included a legend to point out the island homes. Raymond and I have our own section in the center of the homes on the 3rd level. The surrounding homes and shops are all on the 2nd level. I will add details on my neighbors homes outside in an upcoming post.
When you first enter you are immediately greeted with a bridge. Behind my resident services is a full waterfall.
You will notice that I have a 2nd resident named, The Zoo. Near his home in D2 are 3 fenced in areas. These areas are filled with Pandas and Bamboo, Brown bears and an clay pot (I am working on getting a few wasp models to setup around the pot) and then a set of Triceratops. I couldn't think of any additional animals I could pull off outside, but I have a few more ideas I might try.
I still have to complete the insides which I am hard at work on now. The inside of the Zoo's home I have planned out for the most part already. The upstairs will be an outside/cloud type room with model butterflies everywhere. The basement will be an underwater aquarium with model fish/sharks "swimming" about. I am going to have 1 room that I think will be jungle or forest themed... I have yet to decide.. That room will be centered around a war between a model tarantula and a model scorpion. I want to do another room with the iceberg ground and snow (maybe the ice instead) wall.. I want to setup posters (or i may pay a bunch for framed photos) of a bunch of different penguin villagers. I may do something similar for the 3rd room... I havent completely decided... I was considering a laboratory as if it was a Jurassic Park room because of the 3 dinosaurs in cages outside. The flowers in that area are Blue and Black.
If you notice in the northwest, roughly in B2-C2 I have an area with 5 small ponds. This area is meant to be natural, with a few cedar trees setup. This is all on the 3rd level and the 5 ponds count as cliffside rivers and can spawn the golden trout. The flowers leading up to that area after the Zoo are all purple. I left no flowers on the 3rd level with the ponds.
The campsite and Redd have their own private entrance surrounded by waterfalls and flowers. I wanted a yellow, red and orange garden, so that entire walkway are those colors.
Resident Services:
Snippet from an orchard (My orchards are 3 trees of each fruit.. Very small)
Entrance from the east towards my shops/homes:
My Museum and Nooks and Ables:
Outside of the Zoo's home:
The entrance to my natural wooded area in NW:
My Map:
I will expand this post as I go. I wanted to get basic guts down - As I said you are welcome and invited to comment.
