the games seem really streamlined and team focused but I really liked how older games were less linear and there was tons of benefit to backtracking and all that

Was gonna pick scorbunny from begining and it's fire evo is alright with me. It's a soccer player (or football as UK calls it) go figure lmao. Plus it's stats aren't so bad and hidden ability is dangerous depending on it's movepool. Carviknight looked cool from beggining, plus I usually go with early bird mon. The fox looks pretty cool. Hat mon looks awesome. Dragapult looks pretty cool as psuedo, and appletun for grass type coverage, also looks pretty cool in a way and has thick fat so massive bulk right there

honestly, that element of the game does make them better, it's less of a game game and more of a theory craft your team game

Getting Shield today so I haven't started playing yet, but I'm planning on having only new Pok?mon in my team! I might use some Galarian forms as well.

I'm pretty much set on Rillaboom and Corviknight at the moment. Probably Coalossal as well, then maybe Dracovish, even though I prefer Arctovish from a purely aesthetic point of view. I'm loving Obstagoon and Galarian Rapidash as well. I think this would be a well-balanced team, but I like so many of the new 'mons I might just pick the ones that look better lol.

Right now I have Thwackey, Lombre, Bewear, Litwick, Corvisquire, and Snorunt

Not sure what I want my 6 to be, but definitely Ludicolo/Grapploct/Corviknight

Right now it?s Appletun, frosmoth, Coalossal, Galarian Rapidash, intellion, and Toxtricity. I just beat the champion so I?m going to work on breeding and shiny hatching pretty soon!

- Drednaw

I just picked them based on my personal preference. Drednaw is the one I'm willing to let go of if I ever feel like my team is missing type(s) more important than water/rock, but for now that's super helpful and there's really no other Gen 8 Pok?mon I'd like to have in my team.

I finished the game a few days ago and I had Rillaboom, Corviknight, Obstagoon, Sandaconda, Galarian Rapidash and Dracovish in my final team! I decided to ditch Coalossal because I realized I hated its design lol.
