Posydale is in hommage to my love of Pikmin Pellet Posies and the charming flowers of Animal crossing. (It is also the same name I used on my "ultimate" ACCF town.)
Posydale has 4 human residents.
Rose, was quite surprised to be appointed Mayor upon moving to Posydale. She stepped into the job with enthusiasm, though, and got to work. Her philosophy is simple, "Pretty and Functional . . . and more flowers, lots more!" Rose is an avid Nintendo fan, her particular favorite is Pikmin.
She is also steeped in fairytale lore and fancies herself the not-so-secret princess of Posydale. Her villagers are quite amused that Rose often wears a crown, even when swimming. A little superstitious, she always checks her fortune before she dresses for the day. Mayor Rose is looking forward to the time when she can lure a real fortune teller to stay in Posydale.
Mayor Rose gardens tirelessly and works very hard to keep all the villagers happy. She's always open to new projects, if they're pretty, of course. sometimes she'll fish tirelessly to make the bells to make it all happen. The rapid growth of her fairytale castle themed home is testament to her efforts. The villagers are secretly proud, and a little jealous.
Rose loves to open the town to visitors and have open-house events. Sometimes the town is crowded all day long. The recent Groundhog Day event was her best success yet. One of the villagers (Sly) was complaining that his tongue felt so tired from talking to villagers that it felt like it had done pushups all day. Most of the villagers kept commenting on the fun with all the visitors.
Suki is a Japanese/Hawaiian young lady. She is working toward opening a Japanese Dinner-theater/Sushi Bar. Her home resembles a Zen Temple and she's working hard to make enough bells and collect the equipment and furnishings, so she can open to the public. Her love of all things Anime and Japanese is nearly legendary. Collecting Japanese military memorabilia a second passion; she's working on an exhibit of of these items in the museum. The villagers have noticed that she seems to be a Geisha Wannabe, but that's okay because she's just too cute for words.
Larch is an ex-Navy-Astronaut. He runs the Lighthouse control, weather station, and windmill power generation system (when the windmill gets, built, of course). Sometimes he walks around in his space suit, remembering the good-ol-days. He's of Scandinavian descent and sometimes dresses as a viking. He is also quite a sportsman, he's an accomplished fisherman, bug hunter, and diver. He travels a lot and enjoys Cap'n's sea shanties. Pathbuilding is his secret passion, often working through tirelessly to change whole sections of the town's paths and walkways overnight for an event, he's quite the artist, don't-ya-know! Villagers admire his work ethic and accomplishments. They marvel at his engineering knowledge, often remarking that his house is like a space ship.
Taro is a traditional farmer/fisherman. He is Japanese and usually can be found tending to his bamboo, fruit orchards and mushroom stumps. Taro's prowess with mushrooms is awesome. He stalks the town for bugs, as well--determined to keep them from devouring his fruit. He's not all that talkative, but the villagers often ask him for the yummy things he carries around with him. His house is growing slowly, decorated with mushrooms, of course. His dream is to have a traditional Japanese country pavilion with a thatched roof, maybe someday.
There are some that say that Posydale is charming, some say it's a little bit over-flowery. Whatever they say, visitors usually have a good time
