Hi, I'd love to see if my art is good enough to sell for RLC, now that I have improved.
if not, could I sell it for any TBT, how much?
And, any advice?

I dunno whats stylized and what's not so I'll just toss out some thoughts:

The eyes are way too high up on the face and it makes her look weird.

The hair is really well done. So much so in fact that it makes the rest of the picture look... bland by comparion.

Maybe work on fabric folds/shading more. Im unable to tell if the line on her chest is her boob or a crease.

i sort of thought that was a high-waisted skirt; even so, her breasts would be higher up. i actually like this, you have definitely improved :) i agree with zephyr about the face -- draw things a bit closer together. and also about the shading, try to do similar with what you did with the hair. otherwise i definitely see improvement! i can't help with pricing, but good luck!

Oh, my mistake. I forgot the boob usually dangles to the waist.

that's not her waist, at all. her skirt is high and is right underneath the breast

well, none of it is really meant to be realistic :p!

I'll try to shade heavier but I really dislike dark shading ( on my art ) and usually have to make it lighter because it looks weird thanks for the advice!

thank you, I just thought females with larger breast who don't wear bras/sports bras would have droopier breast.
and, alright, I'll try that next time with the face, and the shading will be a hard change but I'll try that, too!! thank you uvu

Your art is nice, but the eyes are a little too high and the mouth is a little too pink. I like the backpack straps though and the hair too. I don't think it's ready for rlc yet, but you can make around 150 tbt off of her. Good luck!

The eyes are fine???

They align perfectly with the ears, where they're supposed to be.

My only advice to the OP would be to plan out the body and features before drawing them on so that they all make sense and look proportionate to eachother.

OP should also focus on learning how to draw proper jawlines

as for price, I wouldn't pay for this.

sorry

thank you for your advice! do you have any suggestions for the jawline? I don't know where to start looking?

I don't mean this offensively but more of a /real/question since I'm confused.
I just recently saw another pricing post and their art is of much less skill of mine.
I don't think my art is amazing but I don't think it's just horrible either. yet, their art is worth
200+ by the comments this person got. but, everyone says my art isn't worth buying?
like, It's great that people are being honest and helping me correct my artwork but I don't get it??

Ahh ok, sorry about the long post! I really love your style! It's really quite unique, and it's got charm!
I can help you out with a few things. First for jawlines, you have to make sure you're line is steady, and not kinda squiggly, but also not too pointy.
I cant explain it well, so here's a little chart:
jawexamples.png

For clothes, make it flow! Creases are important, but make sure they always follow the flow of the fabric. Also, when a skirt is tucked in, it usually creates a little muffin top; it's hardly ever straight down. Made a little graph for this one too:

Honestly, I think you're faces are fine. They're stylized, and I like it! The shading on the hair is nice, but I think it would look nicer with a bit more of a highlight. Try concentrating lighter stands in the direction of the light souce. (If that makes sense >.>)

As for pricing goes, I'd say 150-200 tbt for a waist-up like this one. RLC might not be the best idea right now, but you can always keep it as an option.

Also, kudos on the roses! I can't draw flowers for the life of me...

oh my goodness, if you drew those, the sketches are beautiful, i love the clothing <333

and, well, it wasnt a tucked in shirt, it was a dress that changes color near the end of the chest. I didn't know what it was called so i just said a high skirt lmao xD

but, yeah, i know my lines aren't too straight. I use one hand on my pen and another hand pulling on my tablet cord because its broken. So, its hard to keep everything straight...

And, yeah, I'll do that next time with the hair!!!

I tried something a while before seeing your post. And, I'm gonna TRY selling headshots like this for 70 tbt :/
but, I'm not expecting much business

1) Proportions are out of wack.

I'd recommend on focusing on certain areas of the body before moving onto whole body drawings. The jawline isn't that great. Give more room to the forehead and move the eyes and spread the features more evenly.

2) Clothes creasing

Clothes are never that straight and are usually reflected of light and are affected by other features. So, there would be creases around the bag straps for example.

3) Avoid 'outlining' the areas in the final presentation

An example would be the hair - the black outline removes the added sense of realism.

I know this sounds harsh but you are looking critique and not just compliment fishing.

I think in comparison to your original sample, this headshot has much better proportion!
Also, I would at least sell your headshots for 100tbt.
Your skill isn't quite yet there to sell full-bodies confidently, but sell what you are confident in!
Personally, I really love how you draw eyes and your coloring is very soft and sweet.
Try not to get discouraged from selling your art, because it often takes the plunge to actually discover how sell-able you are. ;]

I'd also suggest a freebie thread to practice the feedback you have gotten from others on your clothing, etc.

If you could show me a completely finished headshot (without the unfinished eye), and maybe some face/hair accessory, I'd be highly likely to buy from you!
Good luck!

I know i didn't think you were rude, i understand you're trying to help and i totally agree with what you're saying!!!
I just can't not do outlining! ill usually try to make the outlines like a darker blonde so it looks better but i forgot to do so!!

oh my!! i looked at your tumblr and your art is gorgeous <33
i'd be so honored if you bought from me.
im gonna make this kinda short because my dog is whining, waiting for me to lie down with her lmao

and, the unfinished eye and stuff was part of the drawing to show the irritated girl with pink, girly things! So, I'll do a "real" drawing tomorrow, i think, of my oc, since she wears stuff in her hair uvu and, i also have two commissions that i can show you, tomorrow, too ^^ thanks for the feedback, ill definitely try a freebie thread ( probably just sketches, tho )
