So I just opened up a shop in the museum shop and currently the price of my art is 25btb each. I might change the price but I want your opinion, what do you think my art would go for? My lines are okay but I need to work on coloring and shading mostly. Also, which do you prefer, black lines or colored lines? (I just stared doing colored lines yesterday but honestly, to me it looks terrible)
I agree, the black lines definitely look more polished and gives off more contrast. Maybe after the bold outline, you can go over it again with a softer brush? The colored lines can work if the colors are a little more darker; they currently look a little washed out. ^^;
As for the prices, I think 30-40 is a good range. Good luck!
100 tbt sounds fair. i recommend spicing up your poses for more practice in variety, your chibis are very cute. if you choose to color in the lineart, try not to make it too similar to the primary colors inside it, enough so it doesnt blend in but doesnt pop too much either. remember that nothing in human anatomy is perfectly straight, so contribute some curves into the body so nothing looks like a stick. when drawing the hair, be sure to look it over and ask yourself if you were to draw in where the top of her scalp is, does her hair evenly distribute around her scalp? i hope this makes sense, its just to double check and make sure the hair isnt too crooked or narrow. her head looks a bit too long in length. other than that, keep practicing. you're definitely getting somewhere. what i usually do as a first step to make hair and clothes look less flat is so a soft gradient around, but leave the spots where the light hits
